 Hey there and hello,

Here it is December 31, 2022 - The last day of the year. Tomorrow starts a new beginning with plenty more chances to attain your dreams. I always look forward to starting over as I feel it gives me another chance to do things right. I hope everyone has a safe and blessed New Year!

I am hard at work on the editing of my Hotel book, due out in Aug/Sept of next year. I cannot wait. I am also working on another book about Richmond, and I have some ideas for a couple of others. So who knows what the future brings? I hope I can start to do one book a year or year and a half if possible. Research, pictures, and travel sometimes work against me though so we shall see how it goes.

Have a wonderful New Year celebration and take good care! Talk to you next year, Susan

 Hey there,

I know you guys are busy getting ready for the winter season and holidays that follow. I have been quite busy myself as well.

I just turned in my manuscript and pictures for my Haunted Hotel book due out next Aug/Sept 2023. I am also editing some manuscripts for other authors as well as starting to work on my next book concerning Richmond, VA. I am excited about that as I love the history and atmosphere of the city.

Christmas is upon us, but I have not done any shopping.........I have been quite ill the last week or two, hopefully it will be better by next week. I need to get out and get some presents. One thing at a time though, I have to feel better first!

I hope you are being safe and staying warm here in this part of the US. I know when we went to Australia in 2014 in December, it was quite warm over there. Strange for us to celebrate Christmas while it is hot. They do it every year that way though. I did love chasing the roos and wallabies all over. The visit to the Australian Zoo was definitely a highlight as well as meeting up with some old friends in Sydney.

If you can travel and see new places, you should definitely go! You never know what food you may find or the culture of the location. I always meet interesting people and find some of the best eats anywhere.

Well, take care until next time!  Susan

 Hey there,

Hope you are well as we are heading into the crisp fall weather. The state fair has come back and we always expect rain during that time. I see hurricanes are also starting up in the South, right now Ian is hitting Cuba and starting on Florida; I do hope everyone stays safe out there.

The Queen passed away on Sept 8, 2022. I thought of her as everyone's sassy grandma. I hope she is now resting in peace with family who went before her. Now we have King Charles III, I hope he can give the position everything he has like his mother did. What an event truly filled with pomp and circumstance though. I watched it all from Scotland to St. George's chapel. What an awesome show for our much missed queen. I am a US citizen, but I admired this lady very much. Godspeed, Ma'am!

Halloween is coming up soon, and I love traipsing stores for all kinds of Halloween decorations. My favorites are black cats and skeleton models. I have a huge collection of the skeletons now - Cat, rat, unicorn, birds, bats, human, and some frogs. Just too cute! I also got a new black cat to keep Church company named CJ for Church Jr. You can come by and give them both a scratch when you see me at signings. I always love to meet fans.

I love it when people come by and tell me how much they have enjoyed my stories or a specific book. This weekend at a signing, several people did just that. They are eagerly awaiting the Hotel book in 2023 as well. Several told me stories about houses they grew up in or lived in that were haunted. Nothing like a great story to top off the day. It is so lovely that they share their stories with me, I find it fascinating that many people have had the same experiences that I have.

So are you ready for ghosts and goblins? They will be headed your way soon. Make sure you locked the door tight!

Til next time, Susan

 Hey there and hello!

I hope you are enjoying the summer weather, it has gotten hot recently, then cool, then back to hot! You just never know sometimes. Of course, I have friends in other countries who are going through winter right now, so we shouldn't complain.

I am mad at work on my haunted hotel book and looking into some Richmond sites as well. I am excited to have it published next year sometime. It is a lot of work, and I always feel accomplished when I see the book itself. That is an awesome feeling!

I have been on 2 ghost investigation with SOS of Virginia. Sheri Millikan is an awesome lady and invited me to both of them with her SOS team. We have seen many things we cannot explain and have witnessed a few things as well. Right now, the awesome group has been going to Trevilian Battlefield for investigations. This is a huge civil war site and has many things to see and do along the way. It is covered extensively in my Haunted Charlottesville book, so check it out when you have a chance.

This last weekend I hung out with them and we discovered an old cemetery off the beaten path back off the road a bit. We also went looking for an unmarked grave on the property near the Trevilian Depot. I got the shakes in a shed where they told a man had hung himself. Just a really neat place to visit and I hope to go back real soon!

Til next time, Susan

 Hey there and hello!

It is almost Easter and I have been seeing wild rabbits everywhere. We call them Kamikaze out here as they really go out of their way to dash across the road in front of you. Of course they are not the only ones, we have deer, opossum, raccoons, turkeys, and squirrels that do the same. I have even spotted a black bear a couple of times. Be careful when you drive and watch out for the little animals.

Don't forget to put up your hummingbird feeders soon as they will be returning now that the spring is here! I love hummingbirds, so cute! My son got us this live feed bird feeder. You place it outside a window and watch the birdies come up and get food. I spied two cardinals the other day!

I am currently working on a non-fiction and two fiction books. Hopefully, they will be finished soon so I can get them out to you. It takes time, I sometimes write myself into a corner, then I have to figure out how to get out of it. LOL!

Hope you have a wonderful spring and a cool summer.

Until next time,  Susan

 Hey there,

How is everyone recovering from the winter storms? Living in Virginia, we got hit several times. So far, so good right now, I think it is supposed to even warm up a little into the 50s. YAY!

Valentines Day is around the corner, hope everyone has all the goodies ready to go. I always buy a bag of the conversation hearts, which I have loved since I was little. In fact, I buy a certain candy every holiday now that I think about it. I guess sugar makes the world go round. I hope everyone has a wonderful day with their significant others.

Next up, St. Patrick's Day in March is coming soon. March 17th - Day of the Green. I have been fascinated by this holiday for a while, and I always wear my green, not going to pinch me, LOL! I love all the decorations and shamrocks you see come out around this time. It makes me want to go back to Dublin and visit again. We were only at the airport, but it was still a gorgeous city.

Well, take care out there and stay warm until next time, Susan
