2014 Year in Review

Here it is 12/31/2014 around 9pm. 3 hours left in the year and I am sitting here contemplating the next one. I have accomplished a lot this year. I graduated with my two Masters finally, got published, traveled far and wide, and had a wonderful year with many close family and friends. I attended my best friend's wedding in Australia and got to see an old elementary chum I had not seen in over 35 years. It was an amazing trip.

I lost my dad in July of this year. We made it through our first Christmas without him. It was hard, I kept seeing stuff I wanted to buy for him to give to other people. It was hard not to get it and give it to them anyway. It has only been five months. I guess as time passes, it will get easier to contend with each day.

I have started writing again and working on short stories and a nursing manual that I began as my Master's project. I am hoping to get it published. Hopefully, I will hear back about that soon. We shall see how it goes. It is tough to get into even for someone who knows a little about the business.

I am going to try to go to a couple of book festivals this year just to see what goes on. I don't know about the conventions, but I think the festivals would be fun. I like to meet people and learn new things, so that is something else I can do.

Timothy's new play start at the end of January. I can't wait for that, it should be really fun. I can't wait to see him on stage again. Full report on that after the show.

My goal is to write on this blog on a week, I have marked it on my calendar so I am going to try. Wish me luck!
